2-factor ANOVA

2-factor ANOVA is used  to investigate the effects of two variables, e.g. a study where different drugs are tested in two groups of male and female patients.
Variance between the groups is decomposited into

• Variance in Factor 1 => Main effect 1, here gender

• Variance in Factor 2 => Main effect 2, here drug

• Variance due to interaction Factor1 <=> Factor2
